New School Volunteer Policy:

All volunteers – such as mentors , interns, tutors and chaperones - must undergo a fingerprint background check and child protective service clearance at least 14 days in advance of the day field trip, overnight trip or activity on or off school property.

A fingerprint background check must be initiated through the PGCPS Fingerprinting Office before performing duties and the child protective services clearance must be initiated through Human Resources. (Cost of Fingerprint Background Check $56.57)

Any parent/guardian who needs assistance covering the cost of a fingerprint background check, and whose child(ren) qualify for free and reduced priced meals, may request waiver of the background check fee by providing a copy of their eligibility letter from the PGCPS Department of Food and Nutrition Services.

Military Families

DO NOT APPLY FOR IMAGINE ANDREWS DURING THE PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS (SPECIALITY SCHOOLS OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD).  

If you are a member of the military or a military dependent residing on Joint Base Andrews, assigned to Joint Base Andrews or reside within Prince George’s County, the application/lottery process will begin on February 13 – May 26, 2017.  Please contact the Imagine Mid-Atlantic Regional Office (301) 316-1802 for additional information regarding the application/lottery process.

Parent Conferences

Parent conferences are being held on Thursday, November 10 from 3:30-7:00 pm & Friday, November 11 from 8:00-noon.  Please check your child’s class blog for more information as to how to sign up.  (Conferences are by appointment only).

Annual Character Day & Character Parade

Greetings Imagine Andrews Families,

It’s a great day at Imagine Andrews! Our Annual Character Day & Character Parade will take place on October 28, 2016. All scholars K-8 will be allowed to dress as a character from a book. Scholars will need to bring the book with them that represents the character that they choose.

There will be a parade in the front parking lot. Scholars will walk around the parking lot circle a few times to display their character costumes and books Listed below are some other important details.

Parade Times
K-4: 8:45 a.m.
5-8: 9:30 a.m.

The following items are not permitted:
Fake Blood
Masks
Dangerous Props (i.e. swords)
