Greetings New Families to Imagine Andrews for 2020-2021 & 2021-2022,
It’s a great day at Imagine Andrews! The first day of school is almost here. Prior to the first day of school there will be an Orientation Day for New Families. This will include those families who joined us during virtual & hybrid learning in 2020-2021 and those who will be joining us for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. This does not include those scholars who joined us last school year and participated in in-person learning from April to June.
On September 3, 2021, new scholars in grades 2nd through 8th will come to the building for a face to face orientation session. During this time, scholars will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, conduct a walkthrough of their schedule, and hear information related to their upcoming school experience.
This event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
During this time scholars will visit their homeroom or the room of one of the grade level teachers where the team or their individual homeroom teacher will present information to them that will prepare them for the opening of school.
Families must transport grade 2-8 scholars. Scholars will enter the building in a similar fashion as they would on a normal day. Families will not be joining the scholars for this event. Families are free to drop scholars off and come back or wait for them on campus.
More details will be provided by August 30 regarding assigned homeroom teachers and what scholars should bring to the event. Once the teachers return to the building, there will be additional information shared regarding what scholars should bring and their assigned teacher/classroom. If there are any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to me at howard.rice@pgcps.org.
Reminders:
Scholars who attended In-Person Hybrid Learning from April 2021 to June 2021 should not attend this event. This event is for scholars who have not had the opportunity to attend In-Person Learning at Imagine Andrews.
If you plan to attend, be sure that you have completed the process for base access prior to this date.
If there are any questions, feel free to reach out to me at howard.rice@pgcps.org.
Sincerely,
H. D. Rice II, Principal
